Jumbo Jet/ Boeing

The Boeing 747 is a wide-body commercial airliner and cargo transport aircraft, often referred to by its original nickname, Jumbo Jet, orQueen of the Skies. It is among the world's most recognizable aircraft, and was the first wide-body ever produced.  The 747 is to be replaced by the Boeing Y3 (part of the Boeing Yellowstone Project) in the future.

Lets draw Boeing 747 now. It is being draw on special request of Mr. Saeed Akthar. Time to begin.

  • Start by writing a long J as in the picture. You can think of it as lond I with one U at its end.
  • Now write another J on the opposite side.

  • Now we write V at end of J.
  • Then write turned around L on top end of V.

  • Join two ends of V and L with sleeping I. Now join top end of L with corner of V  with bent I.
  • Now write two I as shown in next picture.

  • Join these two Is with sleeping I. Make two wings, one with a long thin V and other with a short smaller V. remember that the width of two Vs should be same.
  • Lets make the front window by writing J, you can think of it as half U.
  • To make side windows we write 11 with 1s far from each other.

  • Join tips of 1 with sleeping I on each side. Write lots of 1 inside it to make as many windows you want.
  • Write C at tip of plane .

CAR

Police Officer: Why are you driving in a bathing suit?
Motorist: I'm in a car pool. :-)

According to some French inventor Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot built the world's first automobile. In 1769, he invented self-propelled , steam vehicle that could travel only 2.5 miles per hour. While others had already built automobiles, Ford made a car with a simple engine that people could afford. Making his first Model-T in 1909, he sold about 11,000 of them in one year.
Let us draw a simple car here.

  • Start with upside down U.
  • Then write 5 and another upside down U as shown in next figure.
  • Write J at the free tip of U.

  • Start making window by writing another upside down U and joining the free edges with I.
  • Write I to divide the big window and then make tires with Os.

  • Make front light with a small U. Color and our car is ready to hit the road.
By the way which part of the car is always tired?
Tires ,Of Course !!

CAR FRONT

What would the U.S. be called if everyone in it lived in their cars?
An in-car-nation! :-)

No one knows how many cars there are in America. Many are not registered and are stored, in salvage yards, and some just sitting idle. But, there are approximately 250 million registered vehicles on the road today. That figure includes all types of vehicles.

Lets draw another car. a front view this time.

  • Start by writing a flat upside down U. Join the edges with I
  • Write a small U inside this flat U and then an upside down U on top of this flat U.
  • Top the windshield with another U.

  • Make tires with two more Us and then to make lights we write another set of Us.
  • For the steering wheel we write half of O and then a small V inside it.
  • Write two Is to finish making the hood of the car.
Beep Beep!! we are done now.

What would the U.S. be called if everyone in it drove pink cars?
A pink car-nation! :-)

Rushing Ambulance

Name A Rule You Get To Break If You’re An Ambulance Driver.
Running Stop Signs :-).

Emergency ambulances are highly likely to be involved in hazardous situations, including incidents such as a road traffic collision , as these emergencies create people who are likely to be in need of treatment. They are required to gain access to patients as quickly as possible, and in many countries, are given dispensation from obeying certain traffic laws. For instance, they may be able to treat a red  traffic light or stop sign as a yield sign, or be permitted to break the speed limit.
Let us draw another ambulance.

  • Start by writing a J.
  • Write a tilted I on the left side.
  • Start making wheels by writing  and an upside down U.

  • Write L to make window.
  • Make hood by writing J.
  • Finish this window by joining edges with another L or J.
  • Join the free edges of bottom with Is.

  • Make the head light, rear light and signal with small Us.
  • Write Os for wheels. Write small Os inside big Os to make rim of wheels.
  • Start making plus sign by writing four Ls facing opposite directions.

  • Depict active siren with Cs on either side of siren.
  • You can make smoke by writing a lot of 3s together.

Name another rule you get to break if you're an ambulance driver.
Through Intersections :-).

BIKE

What's big, gray, has two wheels, and goes "ding-ding"?
An elephant on a new bike :-).

Americans use their bicycles for less than one percent of all urban trips. Europeans bike in cities a lot more often—in Italy 5 percent of all trips are on bicycle, 30 percent in the Netherlands, and seven out of eight Dutch people over age 15 have a bike.
I guess we should use our bikes more.

Lets draw a bike.

  • Start by writing two big Os. Put a dot in their middle.
  • Write a V in between the two Os. Make the right arm a little longer.
  • Write another V with its end tip at the left wheel and top tips joining big V.

  • Write a small O as shown to make axle of the paddle. Join the tip of big V and the dot of front wheel with a long I.
  • Make paddle by writing L.
  • Write a horizontal I to divide big V into two.

  • Make seat with a thick small I. Finish wheels by writing a lot of Is.
  • The handle of this bike can be made by writing a very flat U, you can also think of it as a bent I.
  • Basket is optional. It can be made by writing the number 7.

Bike is ready!! I hope our young friends Raj and Yash will have lots of fun with their bike this weekend!!

Why did the lion chase the cyclist?
He heard that bikes are good for your health. :-)

Rocket

How do you make a baby sleep on a space ship?
You rock et :-)

A rocket or rocket vehicle is a missile, spacecraft, aircraft or other vehicle which obtains thrust from a rocket engine. Rocket engines work by action and reaction. Rocket engines push rocket forward simply by throwing their exhaust backwards extremely fast.

Lets draw a rocket now.

  • Start by writing a big C and then two small ones as shown in the figure.
  • Join tips of C with set of another opposite Cs. Make your rocket fat or thin.

  • Write two C on each side at the bottom.
  • Join tips with another set of C.
  • Top the rocket with two flat U.
  • Rocket is ready to blast off !!
 What's an astronauts favorite drink?
Gravi-tea.

Passenger train

If an electric train travels 90 miles an hour in a westerly direction and the wind is blowing from the north, in which direction is the smoke blowing?
There is no smoke from an electric train! :-)

Railroads were initially made up of wooden rails dating back to Germany in the 1550’s. The railroads were called Wagonways, in which carts pulled by horses was the mode of transportation for the Wagonways. In 17th century wooden rails were replaced with iron.

Lets draw train now. This is a passenger train.

  •  Start by writing a big turned around L. Top it with two 11, first one smaller than the second.
  • Join their tips with I.
  • Write two small O for wheels, and a turned around seven in front.
  • Write three 1 inside big 11 to start making window. Join all the free edges with I.
  • Join their tips with I. Engine of train is ready.

  • Lets now make the passenger car. Start by writing one big 11 and two small 11 inside this big 11.
  • Join the top of big 11 and both tips of small 11 with I.
  • Write two O for wheels.
  • Join the free ends of big 11 , just remember not to cross out Os.

  • Choo Choo!!
Our passenger train is ready for Nidhi and Prasad !!

Did you hear about the boy who had to do a project on trains?
He had to keep track of everything!:-)

Here is a more funny one.
A passenger train is creeping along, slowly. Finally it creaks to a halt. A passenger sees a conductor walking by outside. "What's going on?" she yells out the window.
"Cow on the track!" replies the conductor. Ten minutes later, the train resumes its slow pace. Within five minutes, however, it stops again.
The woman sees the same conductor walk again. She leans out the window and yells, "What happened? Did we catch up with the cow again?"

Goods Train

How do you know when a train is eating?
You hear it chooing (chewing). :-)

Trains are made up of many parts that have a specific task. All trains are different and require different mechanics to function. Locomotives can use steam, diesel, electric, or hydrogen as its mode of energy. Air brakes are used in modern trains by using compressed air.

Let us draw a train. This is a goods train.

  • Start by writing horizontal I and then two small o and a big O as shown.
  • Now write 11 on right side of I. Make the second 1 longer as shown.
  • Write small O inside big O to finish making wheel.
  • Write J to make roof

  • Join top of J with I and finish bottom of tarin by joining wheels with I.
  • Write two 11 as shown. Front 11 longer than the latter. Join their edges with I.
  • Top the ends of 1 of first 11 with slanted I.
  • Also write another slanted I in front of the engine. Join them both with I. You can also think of bottom tilted I in front of this train as turned around 7.

  • Write 11 , and join ends with I to make window.
  • Make carriage with 11 toped with I on top and two small O at bottom. Join with I as needed.
  • To make the end write a small U.
  • We can make smaoke by clubbing a lot of 3s together. Color your train in bright color.
Choo choo... we are ready to go Vyas & Reva !

What's the difference between a teacher and a train?

A teacher says, "Spit out your gum,"
and a train says, "choo, choo."  :-)

CRUISE SHIP

Did you hear about the terrible accident? A red cruise ship collided with a purple cruise ship.
What happened?
All the passengers were marooned. :-)

For now, Freedom of the Seas is the largest luxury cruise ship in the world, owned by Royal Caribbean. It is approximately the same height as two of the Statue of Liberty, placed head to toe. It has a H2O Zone, or the “sprayground” which has colorful fiberglass sculptures shooting jets of water, geysers shooting from the ground and water cannons. There’s even a lazy river and waterfall inside this ship.
Lets draw a cruise ship.

  • Write I on one end and a tilted I on the other end.
  • Join their top tips with another I.
  • Write a number of Os for windows. Base is ready.

  • Now write a tilted I on the right end of this ship.
  • Write half of T at the right end.Write a slanted I on top of half T.

  • Write a number of long Is to make your ship bigger and more roomy.
  • Write 11 right top . Join the tips with I and divide it in middle with another I.

  • Write a number of Us to make water. Color and enjoy your vacation cruise ship.

What did the water say to the cruise ship and it's passengers?

Nothing, it just waved. :-)

FIRE TRUCK

What did the fireman say when the church caught on fire?
“Holy smoke!” :-)

In early colonial times, bucket brigades were formed to put out fires. As towns grew, that became insufficient, and in 1678, the first engine company was founded in Boston. They used a manual pump, which had a small tank that was supplied with water by a bucket brigade. In 1736, Benjamin Franklin organized the first volunteer fire-fighting society.

Lets draw our very own fire truck.

Lets first learn to draw a star as we will need to put that in our truck.

  • Write an upside down V.
  • Join the edges with I.
  • Now write a V.
  • Join its edges with another I.
Our star is ready

  • Start by writing a turned around L or half T. Write  a long E right in the middle of L.
  • Write another turned around L.
  • Start making wheels by writing a 5 and then an upside down U.

  • Join the edges of 5 and U with I. Top the roof of this truck with 11 to start making siren.
  • Finish the back of this truck with I.
  • If you want your ladder to be long extend the bottom two lines of E a bit. Join the tips of 11 with I. Divide this in middle with another I.

  • Now lets make the door. Write 11 as shown.
  • Join tips of this 11 with I.Divide this door into two to make a window.
  • Also write a lot of Is joining the bottom two lines of E to finish making ladder.
  • Put a star on the door.

  • Write a big O and then a small O inside this big O to make one wheel. Make the second wheel exactly like the first one.
  • For front and rear lights we write C and turned around U.
Our fire truck is now ready !!

I hope our little fire captains Anthony and  vincent will have a good time drawing their very own fire truck.

Why do firemen wear red suspenders?
To keep their pants up :-)

UFO

Why did the alien want to leave the party?
The atmosphere wasn't right :-)

An unidentified flying object (usually abbreviated to UFO or U.F.O.) is any unusual apparent object in the sky whose cause cannot be identified by the observer. In popular usage it means alien spacecraft.

  • Write upside down U.
  • Join edges of this U with a slightly curved I.
  • Now write another curved I but a longer one this time.

  • Join edges of smaller I and longer I with two more I.

  • Write three 11 spaced equally. Join tips with I.
  • Color and your UFO is ready!!
What do you call a pan spinning through space?
An unidentified frying object.  :-)

Plane

What is the difference between a pilot and a jet engine?
A jet engine stops whining soon after landing. :-)

Did you know a plane ticket cost just $5 in the 1920s.
Lets draw another type of plane now.

  • Start by writing upside down U with the ends to U coming towards each other.
  • Write J on either side.
  • Now we write two upside down U one at the top of the plane and one in between two Js.
  • Join tip of bottom U and J with I.

  • Now write two big C on either side of the body of plane to make wings.
  • Write another set of small C with top small U in center.
  • Join edges of C with U using two I on each side.
  • Make window by writing 11 and the joining tips with I.

You are ready to take off now!!

How do you know if there is a pilot at your party?
He'll tell you. :-)

What kind of Pilots like hovering?
Hovering is for pilots who love to fly but have no place to go. :-)
