Pineapple

What Kind of apple isn't an apple?
A pineapple.

A rough, spiky, pine cone , pineapple is really a group of smaller fruits which have fused together around a central core. Oval-shaped, 20-30cm long and 10-15cm wide, we have a tuft of short, sharp, grey-green leaves rising from top. It is a good source of vitamin C and dietary fiber. It is a source of a mineral called manganese. It is needed by our bones and for the cartilage in joints as well as the brain.

Lets draw a pineapple now.

  • Start by writing a U with its free ends coming together.
  • Now lets make leaves on top. If you want less leaves write two M. If you want more write three M in the space between edges of U.
  • Write W at the bottom of this fruit.

  • Now its time to make spikes. We can make spikes in two ways.
  • Start by writing upside down U from the bottom of this fruit. Go on doing that till you reach the top of this fruit. Write small Cs or Us it between each.
  • For the second more easier type of spike we make a number of chis cross lines and write a small U in each segment.
Color. Coloring pineapple can be a little tricky. What I usually do is use a little bit of orange and yellow and color pineapple randomly in few places. Then I use green to fill in rest of the body. Let me know how that works for you!! I will appreciate your comments and they will certainly encourage me!!
Now lets end with a pineapple joke.
What do you get when you cross an apple with a Christmas tree?
A pineapple :-D!!

Time for a pineapple tongue twister.
Passionate purple parakeets and pink pigs pleasantly pluck pears and pineapple in pretty perfect paradise while painting a portrait of parrots and papaya, but I am in painfully painful pain sitting on pine, eating pie and plotting a plan to punish Pim for pinching and poking Papa's parched patched pants. (Try saying that 5 times fast!)

Strawberry

How do you make a strawberry shake?
Put in the refrigerator !!
Lets draw strawberry .  I love strawberry shake.

  •  Start by writing a very flat upside down U.
  • join the tips of this U with a flat V.
  • If you want to have your strawberry have a little dimension write two small C facing opposite sides at junction of V and U.

  • Now lets write two M on top our strawberry and color it green.
  • Now make a lot of dots inside our straw berry and color it red.
Our strawberry is all ready to eat.

Time for a strawberry joke!

If you weren't so fresh, we wouldn't be in this jam!

Now try a strawberry tongue twister.
How much straw could a strawberry bury if a strawberry could bury straw.

  •  We write a small flat U and then another set of small flat U inside it.
  • Now we join one tip of U with upside down V, the other end of V should be at the center of U.
  • Now write I joining end of Us and tip of V.

Color!!
Our water melon is now done.

I love you berry berry much :-).

The great thing about the raspberry is that it can be used for making smoothies, desserts, sauces, ice cream, and much more. It is a very delicate fruit and should be handled with care. Promegnate

What did pomegranate give his girlfriend?
A string of his red pearls :-).

The potent anti-oxidant in pomegranate juice is beneficial in preventing
the hardening of arteries.
In addition to having some fiber, pomegranates are a good source of Vitamin C and potassium. However, most of the calories, about 105 calories for a medium pomegranate, come from sugar.

Lets draw one now.

  • Start by writing 11.
  • Write C on one end of 1 and a mirror image (turned around C) at the end of second 1.
  • Fill the gap between the free ends of C by writing two W.

  • Lets now make the upper part of this fruit. Start by writing slant I at both end of both 1. Write M in the middle.
  • Join free end of M and I with bent I. Color !! Does it not look delicious.
  • To make a half open pomegranate we write a big D on one side and fill it with small Os. Color as shown.
I can not let go without drawing a branch of this tree. It is so beautiful. Let make a branch now that is loaded with fruits.

  • Start by writing two lying down Ys. Double the Ys to make it thicker. Make the fruits now. Now we make leaves by writing lot of big I as shown in the figure. Make as many leaves as you want.
  • Color and enjoy you fruit branch.

Orange

Why did orange go to doctor?
Because it was not peeling well. :-)

There is more fiber in an orange than in most other fruits and veggies!  A funny thing about orange seed is, if  you plant a single seed from an orange you will probably get more than one plant growing from it.
Lets draw an orange now.

  • Start by writing O.
  • Write a small 11 towards upper middle of this O and join ends of this O with I.
  • Write two W together at the stem of this orange.

Cherry

First a cherry joke.
What did the cherry tree say to the farmer?
Quit picking on me !! :-)

Cherries are very versatile fruits and can be a part of any meal or dessert.
From breakfast to soups and salads. They grow in trees that are massed with beautiful white and pink blossoms, which form in clusters consisting of several flowers in spring time. These turn into bunches of one to three fruits, which are harvested when ripe.

Cherry is the simplest of all fruits to draw!!
  • Write two O together.
  • Join their tops with upside down V. Write I at the pointed tip of V.
  • Color and enjoy your cherries !!
Why did George Washington chop down the cherry tree?
I'm stumped! :-)

How about a cherry tongue twister

What do you get when 354 blueberries try to go through the door at the same time?
A Blueberry Jam :)

The Blueberry is one of the few fruits that are native to North America. In fact,North America is the world’s leading blueberry producer, currently accounting for nearly 90 percent of world production. Blueberries can be used to make sauces, baked goods, drinks, as well as desserts.

Lets draw blueberry now.

  • Lets start by writing two O.
  • In one of them we write two M joined together as inside the upper berry. For the lower berry we write 11 and an upside down W joining the edges.
  • Join the free edges of M in the upper berry with V.
  • For stem we write 11, with their 1s very close and long.
  • To draw a bunch of blueberries , we draw a number of such front facing and side facing blue berries together. For leaves write U for the base and top it with upside down V. Please see how to draw leaf under my blog for details.

Ape-ricots !! :-)

Lets draw an apricot now.

  • Start by writing C.
  • Join the free edges of C by writing another C turned around. Write another small turned around C right at the center of this fruit.
  • Write 11 for stem and join tips with I.
  • Join edges of small C at the center with tilted I.

Apple

What did the apple skin say to the apple?
 I’ve got you covered!! :-)

Don’t peel your apple! Two-thirds of the fiber and many of the antioxidants are found in the apple peel. Americans eat a lot of apples , an average of 50.4 pounds of apples and apple products each year.

Lets draw an apple now.

  • Start by writing flat upside down U and a turned around J.
  • Write another flat upside down U on the other side and another J as shown in the second figure.

  • Draw apple stem by writing a thin V and joining its edges with I.
  • For leaf we write V and join it with apple with bent I. Write I in the middle and then a series of V for veins of leaf.
  • Variation of this apple.
  • If we have to make half of an apple we write a small U on top and another small upside down U in the bottom as shown. Draw seed by writing X in middle. Erase the center of X. Half of an apple is ready.
  • To draw a little eaten apple we just write C as in the third figure.
  • Color and enjoy your delicious apples!!
