What time does a duck wake up?
 At the quack of dawn!

Ducks are birds. They are also called "waterfowls" because they are normally found in places with water, like ponds, streams and rivers. They are related to geese and swans. The duck is the smallest of them all.
Quack ! Quack! Did you know that when ducks quack they have no echo. Lets draw one now.

 

• Write S.
• Write a U at the tip of  S.
• Write L at the free end of U.

 

• Write a flat U.
• Write M for tail of this duck.
• Write C for beak.

 

• Put a dot for eye, and write I inside C.
• Write another U , and your duck is done. Quack !! Quack!!.

What did the hen say after she laid 100 eggs?
I am eggs hausted :-).

It takes a hen 24-26 hours to lay an egg. A chicken takes 21 days to hatch. Special breed hens lay about 300 eggs in a year. They incubate their eggs and raise young ones. A mother hen turns her egg approximately 50 times in a day. This is so the yolk does not stick to the shell. Hen takes 24-26 hours to lay an egg.
Lets draw a hen. It is a few more steps, but again as I have said earlier they are just few more alphabets.

 

• Start  with upside down J. You can think of it as a candy cane or upside down U joined with L
• Write another small L at the free end of bigger L.
• To make face write a small reverse C and then a big C for chest. Write another C to start making wing.

•  My C was not big enough in the earlier figure. Make sure you write a big enough C.
• Write 11 for feet, and M for beaks. Put dots for eye.
• Make plumage with C, joined with three more Cs.
• Join L and C of side wing with M to finish the side wing.

 

• Write a series of crooked Vs to join the tip of C of plumage to the tip of 1 of second foot.
• Write upside down U between feet and join them with I.
• Write three upside down Us together for crown.
• Write two flat Os more like oval for eggs.

Why do hens lay eggs?
Because if they dropped them they would break. :-).

CHICK 2

I just recently came to know of a chicken fact. Chicken are pretty fast. The chicken can travel up to 9 miles per hour when it wants to. Lets see how fast can we draw this one. Get set go.

• Write a flat O.
• Write a big U for body.
• Put two dots for eyes.
• Start drawing the beak with an upside down V.

• Finish this beak by writing another V joining the edges of first V; write I between them horizontally.
• Write 11 for feet
• Write an upside down V at end of each 1 , and then another small I between them. Feet is now  fully done.



• For wing, we write C on each side of body.
• We write W to join edge of C to U. If you have trouble writing this W with round bottoms , think of it as two Us joined together.
• Write two I for hair.

What day of the week do chickens hate?
Fry-day !! Poor chicken.


We will give them some ease and just draw them here today. This one is just hatched.

• Write a big U.
• Join the edges of U with a series of V written together. Do not worry for these V to be uniform, the different sizes of V will look even better. This is the egg shell.

• Write a capital C for the head. Note that this C has been turned around, and it is written a small distance from the shell.
• Join the edges of C to the shell with bent I on each side.

• For the beak we write V. Then write an upside down V joining the edges of first V. Join the ends of this beak with I.
• Put two dots for eyes. Write two tilted I for hair.
